1. What is your personal opinion towards file sharing? Is it right or wrong? Please explain
2. If you produced your own piece of art/song/movie, would you hold the same opinion?
3. Do you feel it is morally acceptable to download copyrighted material if it is only intended for personal use?
Answers
1.My opinion on file sharing is that its a cool thing because then you and your friends can share things like movies or music. BY law its wrong but to me i think its alright to do it, because i do not want to spend money on all these movies or music, cause the prices are a rip off.
2. If i produced my own piece of art/song/movie i would not hold the same opinion because then i'm going to most likely loose money, which as we all know is bad.
3. I feel morally that its alright to download this material as long as its for personal use and yours not trying to re-sell it to people.

Media and Self-Esteem
1. Why do you think people are portrayed this way in the media?
2. How are you affected by the images you see?
3. What can be done to reduce the amount of young men and women that are
negatively affected by these images?
4. What would your reaction be to a magazine cover where the subject isn’t
all glammed up? Is this a possible route that society should take? Why or
why not?
ANSWERS
2.I am affected by these images because it gives me the impression that people, mostly women, should look this way.
3. I think that these companies could portray them differently and not to make them seem perfect. That way young men, like myself, and young women will not be so negatively affected.
4. My reaction to a magazine cover like that would be "Wow, something different, i think it looks good."

Web 2.0 is Me?
1. How will emerging technology (ie: blogs, videos, e-readers,e-books) affect literacy?
Emerging technologies will have a big impact on literacy because we will be able to share our minds with the world (i.e. using a blog). Also it will change the way we read books because instead of having multiple books people can buy an e-book or e-reader and store books into it and read them later.
2. How is Web 2.0 challenging us to "rethink ourselves" (ie: friendships, work, education, community, family etc...)?
Web 2.0 is challenging us to "rethink ourselves" like the way we communicate with one another. It challenges us in this way because of how we talk to one another, instead of seeing your friend face-to-face you can IM (instant message) them. Also it challenges the way we see one another because not everything on the internet is real, so anybody can say what they want which makes us really think about things.
Taking A Look at Music Videos
Initial Reaction: My initial reaction to this video as i watched it was "very bold choice of costumes for the video". Also that this video looks a lot different from what Chris Brown music videos normally look like.
Analysis and interpretation: I think that the director created the music video because its a fun song that people would like to dance too. One theme that are promoted in this video are that people should blast their music and dance. This video is not aligned with gospel values and does not counter them in any way, unless your like obsessed with illuminati.
Consideration of cultural context: I dont think there was a major or any event that could have inspired the director to make this music video. The only reason i could think of is that since this song is one that you would most likely hear in a club or something, it shows Chris Brown dancing in a club.
Expression of aesthetic judgement: The cinematography, acting and performance, choreography, story line, special effects, lyrics and musicality all work together because they compliment one another. Like in the lyrics he talks about wanting to dance and he's dancing in a club. Also the choreo compliments the special effects, like in one part where he's dancing and as he moves his hands some kind of mist surrounds his hands.
Ongoing reflection: This music video hasn't influenced my reception of the song too much but the video has make me like the song just that much more.
